Progressive Overview of The Bank

The Bank was registered under the Co-operative Societies Act in the year 1932 and started functioning from 29th August, 1969.

The late Rao Bahadur A.K.Pai. B.A.J.P. The school committee members, in November 1926, at the school committee meeting, sent a notice to the sub-committee on the need for a bank to be a co-operative credit bank or bank for the teachers and school committee employees of the municipality. Committees were registered under the name of Co-op Mudt Society.

Soon on 7 November 1988 District Co-operative Bank of Mumbai got Bombay clerking and House Sub membership was received and the bank business got actual boost.

Therefore, for the convenience of the members in the Eastern Suburbs on 31 December 1994 started Kurla Branch under the guidance of Shri. Devraj Dandavat, Education Officer at that time. Kurla branch has successfully completed more than 25 Years now.

1933 TO 2023 :

• The Bank functioned as Primary Credit Society
• From 1932 onwards the Bank, undertook and developed the Banking business.
• It has 3 branches, situated at Kurla, Dadar, Santacruz & HO in Grant Road.
• Bank has started ATM facility across PAN India. Rupay ATM card now can use as Debit card on POS machine.
• Bankhas started IMPS facility through Mobile Banking Application.
• The Bank comes under the purview of the Banking Regulation Act.
• Bank has started RTGS/NEFT offline facility to customers.
