Saving Account Detail

Savings bank account is opened for the purpose of savings for the future. Interest is paid on the balance maintained at per the rate specified by the Reserve Bank of India from time to time.

Eligibility :

The saving account can be opened by

• > Individuals
• > More than one person jointly
• > Illiterate person
• > Blind Person
• > A guardian on Behalf of Minor in minors name
• > Charitable/ Religious Institutions
• > Trust, Clubs, Association
• > Local Bodies, Primary Co-operative Societies or any other body
• > Staff Members
• > Salary account for MCGM Employees

Minimum Balance :

Customer is required to maintain a minimum balance of Rs. 1000/-

Customer will receives below interes on deposits:

Document Required :

Customer is required to submit following documents to open a savings account:

• > Duly filled Account Opening Form
• > Latest 2 Photographs (Passport size)
• > Introduction (Xerox copies of the following and Bring originals for verification)
• > PAN – Permanent Account No. allotted by Income Tax Authority
• > Residential proof (Any one or more of the following)
• > Photo Identification Proof
• > Additional documents for Charitable/ Religious Institutions, Trust, club, Associations, Cop- operative Societies & Local bodies

Facilities :

• > Free Any Branch Banking facility at all the branches
• > 20nos cheques per annum
• > Quarterly interest for Saving Bank Accounts
• > Monthly & Quarterly interest transfer to saving bank account of Fixed Deposits
• > Standing Instruction
• > Nomination Facility
• > Passbook
• > RuPay Debit ATM Card/ IMPS/ UPI

Residential Proof (Any one or more of the following) :

• > Passport
• > Electricity Bill
• > Aadhar card
• > Telephone/Electricity/Piped Gas/Water bill not less than 2 months old
• > Bank statement having transactions for last 2 months

Photo Identification Proof :

• > Passport
• > Election Identity Card
• > Office Identity Card
• > Driving License
• > Aadhar card
